Why does the Message page only show alarm screenshots?

If you're only seeing screenshots instead of video recordings on the Message page, it's because video recording requires a Micro SD card to be installed.

How to Enable Video Recording

1. Install a Micro SD card in your camera (up to 128GB, FAT32 format)
2. The camera will automatically start saving alarm video recordings
3. Default recording duration is 10 seconds per alarm event
4. This can be adjusted to 20 or 30 seconds in settings

Viewing Recorded Videos

Once the SD card is installed and recordings are being saved:

1. Go to the Message page
2. Tap on an alarm event
3. Select "Local Playback" from the Preview section
4. View the complete video recording stored on the SD card

Without SD Card

Without an SD card, the camera can only capture and upload snapshots to save data and battery. Installing an SD card enables full video recording capability.
