Adding Camera Failed?

Troubleshooting steps when you cannot add your baby monitor camera to the app

If you're having trouble adding your baby monitor camera to the app, follow these troubleshooting steps:

1. Power On the Device First

Before adding a camera, please power on the device first.

2. Use the Correct App

Please use the correct app to add a camera. Make sure you're using the official app designed for your baby monitor model.

3. Check WiFi Frequency

Ensure your phone connects to 2.4GHz WiFi (not 5GHz), as most setup failures stem from using the wrong frequency band.

Most baby monitor cameras only support 2.4GHz WiFi networks. Make sure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz network during setup.

4. Verify WiFi Credentials

Please carefully check if the WiFi name and password you have chosen are correct.

5. Router Security Settings

Enterprise-grade routers with strict security settings may block smart devices from connecting. Advanced enterprise routers with high-security firewalls may block smart device connections. If you're using an enterprise or business-grade router, try adjusting the security settings or use a different network.

6. Factory Reset and Router Restart

If the above steps don't work:

  1. Perform a factory reset by holding down the Reset button for 5 seconds when the device is powered on
  2. Release the button when you hear the prompt tone
  3. Restart your router by unplugging the power adapter and then plugging it back in
  4. Follow the instructions in the manual carefully to complete the setup

After factory reset, wait for the indicator light to show the camera is ready for pairing before attempting to add it to the app.
