How to Replace WiFi Network?

Steps to change the WiFi network your baby monitor camera is connected to

How to Replace WiFi?

If you need to connect your baby monitor camera to a different WiFi network (for example, after changing routers or moving to a new location), you have two methods available:

Method 1: WiFi Switch in App (Recommended)

This is the quickest method that doesn't require re-pairing the camera.

  1. Open your baby monitor app
  2. Go to camera settings
  3. Find the "WiFi Switch" option
  4. Enter the new WiFi network credentials (name and password)
  5. Wait for the camera to reconnect to the new network

This method preserves all your camera settings, schedules, and preferences. Use this method when possible.

Method 2: Delete and Re-add Camera

This method requires complete re-pairing but works when Method 1 is not available or fails.

  1. Delete the camera from the app

    • Open your baby monitor app
    • Find the camera in your device list
    • Select delete/remove option
    • Confirm deletion
  2. Connect your phone to the new WiFi

    • Make sure your phone is connected to the 2.4GHz network you want to use
    • Verify the network name and password
  3. Add the camera again

    • Follow the standard camera setup process
    • Scan the QR code or follow voice prompts
    • The camera will connect to the new WiFi network

When using Method 2, you will need to reconfigure all camera settings, including:

  • Motion detection zones
  • Alert schedules
  • Video quality preferences
  • Shared user access

Tips for Success

  • Use 2.4GHz network: Remember that most baby monitors only support 2.4GHz WiFi
  • Strong signal: Ensure the camera location has good WiFi signal from the new network
  • Correct credentials: Double-check the WiFi password before entering it
  • Reset if needed: If the camera doesn't connect, try factory resetting it first

Troubleshooting

If you're unable to change the WiFi network:

  1. Try the alternative method
  2. Factory reset the camera and set it up from scratch
  3. Ensure the new WiFi network is 2.4GHz
  4. Check that the router is not blocking the device
  5. Contact customer support for assistance
