9. Troubleshooting
Q1: Is the video doorbell battery-powered?
A1: Yes, a Li-ion battery is built in. Thanks to low-power technology, a full charge lasts more than 2 to 3 months in our laboratory test environment. (Test conditions in the laboratory: 10 events per day, 15-second video recording per event.)
Q2: Does it support an inherited wired power source?
A2: Yes, it supports the old wired power sources. It features a design that supports both battery and wired power, and it includes the tools required for wired power.
Q3: Does the camera doorbell work with an existing mechanical indoor chime?
A3: No. The doorbell is shipped with a wireless, battery-powered chime. If you have an existing indoor chime, please use the supplied jumper to bypass the existing chime, in order to provide enough power to the new video doorbell. And our wireless chime is 100% wireless; you can place it almost anywhere you want. The transmission distance in open space is more than 100 meters.
Q4: How many wireless chimes can be paired to a video doorbell?
A4: You can add as many wireless chimes as you want to your video doorbell.
Q5: Does it support custom motion-detection zones?
A5: Yes. You can customize the detection zone in the doorbell settings.
Q6: Does the doorbell support cloud storage?
A6: Your doorbell supports local video storage via Micro-SD card as well as cloud storage. You can activate it in the app. There is a free 7-day recording trial service.
Q7: Is it compatible with Alexa or Google Home?
A7: The doorbell supports the use of Alexa and Google Home. You can configure it according to your needs.
