11. Troubleshooting

Q1: Is the video doorbell battery-powered? A1: Yes, a Li-ion battery is built in. Thanks to low-power technology, a full charge lasts more than 2 to 3 months in our lab test environment. (Lab test conditions: 10 events per day, 15-second video recording per event.)

Q2: Does it support legacy wired power? A2: Yes, it supports the old wired power sources. It features a design that supports both battery and wired power, and includes the tools needed for wired power.

Q3: Does the camera doorbell work with the existing mechanical indoor chime? A3: No. The doorbell comes with a battery-powered wireless indoor chime. If you have an existing indoor chime, please use the supplied jumper to bypass the existing chime, in order to provide enough power to the new video doorbell. Our wireless chime is 100% wire-free; you can place it almost anywhere you like. The transmission distance in open space is over 100 meters.

Q4: How many wireless chimes can be paired with one video doorbell? A4: You can add as many wireless chimes as you want to one video doorbell.

Q5: Does it support custom motion detection zones? A5: Yes. You can customize the detection zone in the doorbell settings.

Q6: Does the doorbell support cloud storage? A6: The doorbell supports local video storage via a Micro SD card as well as cloud storage. You can enable it in the app. There is a free 7-day recording trial service.
